Privacy Policy

Ask White (“we”) handles information in the app “Binday” (the “App”) as follows.

1. Our approach

The App is built to work on your device. Your calendars and alert settings are stored on your device. We do not ask you to create an account, show no ads and do not track you.

2. Photos, PDFs and camera

• The camera, photos and files are used only to read the collection calendar you choose.
• Text is recognized on your device. Images are neither saved nor sent (they are discarded when you close the review screen).

3. Reading with AI (only when you choose it)

• On supported devices, Apple’s on-device AI is used and nothing leaves your device.
• Otherwise, only the recognized text with its position and background color is sent via our server (binday.askwhite.jp) to the API of OpenAI, L.L.C., and the organized result is returned. Images are never sent.
• The text is used only for this processing and is not stored or logged on our server. OpenAI may retain API data for a limited time for abuse monitoring under its policies, and does not use it to train models (OpenAI API data usage policies).
• To count free and paid uses, we keep only: a hashed value of your device’s identifier for vendor (IDFV), a hashed value of your Binday Pro purchase ID, and the number of uses and period. To confirm the App is a genuine App Store copy, we receive App Store-signed purchase information (AppTransaction), which is not stored after the check. This information is not used to identify you or for anything other than counting uses.

4. Notifications

Alerts are scheduled on your device. Their content is never sent to us.

5. Family sharing (iCloud)

When you use family sharing, the content of the shared calendar (place name, types, rules, exceptions, reminders) and the sharer’s device name are stored in Apple’s iCloud and shared only with the people you invite. We do not receive this content. iCloud is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy.

6. Export to your calendar

Only when you choose it, the App asks for permission to write to your calendar and adds collection days to a “Binday” calendar. It does not read your calendar and send it anywhere.

7. Purchases

In-app purchases are processed by Apple. We never receive payment information.

8. Contact form

What you send with the form on the Support page (subject, message, optional email address) reaches us by email so we can reply. We use it for no other purpose.

9. Children

The App can be used by people of any age, but we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes and contact
